Hygienic Design-compatible washer from Freudenberg Process Seals
Thanks to Freudenberg Process Seals' aseptic Hygienic Usit® washer, for the first time threaded fittings can be reliably protected from external influences in keeping with Hygienic Design standards. Especially for areas in which the screw can come into contact with product, or in aseptic isolators, this protection is indispensable.
When conventional, non-EHEDG-compliant hexagonal bolts are used, there is a risk of fluids becoming trapped under the screw head and contaminating the product. Even the most thorough cleaning processes can't reach the contaminated area underneath the head - and what can't be reached can't be cleaned.
Freudenberg's Hygienic Usit® prevents fluids from penetrating below the screw head and depositing germs and bacteria. The design is available in the standard sizes M5, M6, M8, M10, M12 and M16.
