From centrifugal and piston pumps to applications on spindles and valves - our stuffing box packings program is very impressive with its wide range of uses thanks to versatile material and construction designs.
The sealing function of packing is based on the compression of endless woven cords compressed into rings. This is why the types of weaves and above all, the materials used play a pivotal role in creating a reliable seal. For this purpose, Freudenberg Process Seals offers a wide range of optimal materials and processing technologies which can be adapted to suit the chemical and thermal requirements as well as pressures. For example, our new development Valtec, made of non-woven material impregnated with PTFE.
