Product identification increases sealing safety
The first fraud resistant identification procedure for elastomer seals worldwide
Traceability, material identification, guaranteed security and protection from forgeries - these are the main advantages of product identification for trademark protection. Fraud-resistant product identifications have so far mainly protected buyers of trademark consumer goods or pharmaceuticals. Thanks to safe®, it is now possible to mark all elastomer components, such as seals, diaphragms and elastomer composite materials. With the completely new, fraud-resistant patent-pending safe procedure, it is now possible for the first time in the world to offer and utilize the safety advantages of product identification for elastomer components as well.
The new "safe®” identification process stands for „Secure Adaptive Freudenberg Encryption“. With information on the item name, construction, dimensions, material, manufacturing date and serial number, this secure identification provides unique product identification for secure traceability and to protect against forgeries. This secures the use of optimal sealing materials, in particular for facilities in pharmaceutical, food and beverage production. This allows approvals and material certifications to be stored in the "safe" marking, for example in accordance with FDA, USP-Class VI, ADI®-free.
The "safe®" product marking can be individually adapted to the product thanks to two different formats. Apart from a square, flat coding, it is also possible to have curved coding for O-rings for example. This product identification offers the significant advantage that it can even be read if up to 70 % of the code has been destroyed by wear for example.
The "safe®" product identification thus offers ultimate safety for machine and equipment manufacturers who use seals made by Freudenberg Process Seals. Apart from secure traceability, the extension of promises of guarantee is an essential advantage for the manufacturers of fixtures and fittings, equipment and machines, for example. Thanks to "safe®", this also means that unjustified warranty claims can simply be rejected, as generic products and fraudulent spare parts can always be identified.
Safe® marking not only helps plant operators to safely recognize suitable original seals, but this also allows seals that have been stored for too long to be kept away from highly sensitive processes. This also allows you to prevent seals being used several times without being recorded. "safe®" makes each Freudenberg product with the high quality characteristics a unique product with a unique identity. Documentation of the entire process chain from the sealing raw material, through compounding and manufacture, the plant and equipment manufacturer right up to the plant operator is traceable using the "safe®" seal marking. Seals marked with "safe®" reliably rule any risks out.
