The harmonization of material and lubricant
In collaboration with our affiliated company Klüber Lubrication, Freudenberg Process Seals offers lubricants ideally suited for applications in the processing industry and for the sealing materials they use.
The use of lubricants in the processing industry needs to be adapted to a large number of industry-specific requirements, such as
- Compliance with food legislation
- Health clearance
- Being neutral to taste and smell
- International approvals
and also needs to be compatible with the sealing material used.
The compatibility between lubricants and the sealing materials has been checked in numerous investigations in connection with our affiliated company Klüber Lubrication Munich within our Group. As a result of these investigations, Klüber, working with Freudenberg Process Seals, developed a series of suitable lubricants which clearly exceed the requirements of food legislation, while at the same time ensure compatibility with the sealing materials.
The interaction between the three parameters, medium, sealing material and lubricant are very complex. All applications need to be individually checked and tested.
