In production processes making jam and conserves, the pieces of fruit conveyed and the crystallizing sugar are tough on seals and increase wear. Fruit particles can also embed themselves in the seal and in an extreme case, can cause production to break down. For this application, Freudenberg Process Seals offers selected materials which are also resistant to fatty additives and those containing flavoring as well as aggressive cleaning media.
