Being able to meet sealing-technology requirements in beverage production presumes a high level of application know-how. While alcohol and carbonated drinks stabilize themselves through their ingredients, still water is a highly sensitive product requiring special attention to be paid to hygiene and cleanliness within its production process.

This industry represents a particular challenge for sealing technology. By using strong cleaning agents and stringent cleaning conditions when producing fruit juices and through additives containing flavoring, it is not possible for example to use any elastomer or plastic respectively.
