Solutions for diaphragm valves
In the case of diaphragm valves, the „seat“ usually made of a molded part or from seals is replaced by a diaphragm. This has the advantage that the medium is completely separated from the operating controls, thus allowing ultra-pure and also heavily contaminated, liquid and gaseous media to be controlled without any problems.
In its normal position, the diaphragm fully releases the entire cross-section of the flow. During the closing process, the diaphragm is distorted by a stamp until it lies completely on the seat. As a general rule, Freudenberg Process Seals develops diaphragm individually for every type of valve. To do this, it is advisable for cooperation between the valve developer and our expert to be started as soon as possible, to allow the wide ranging experience of this specialist to be beneficially incorporated into the system development right from the start.
