Apart from piping, valves and accessories, fittings are an important component in pipelines. The connection between the pipe and the fitting can be made in several different ways. There are seal-free welding, brazing and glued joints, but also clamp connections, flange connections and screw couplings which need to be made secure from a sealing engineering point of view.
Depending on the type of fitting and the flowing medium, various sealing materials and shapes need to be considered. Only then is it possible to attain optimal sealing results and the associated system security. In the chemical industry with large flow diameters, high temperatures and aggressive media this solution is provided by flange connections with a flat gasket, in the cosmetics industry and uncritical food and pharmaceutical applications, it is provided by dairy couplings or clamp connections. And for sensitive areas with stringent hygienic design requirements, our aseptic clamp connections in accordance with DIN 11864 are used.
